  O-RINGS.

  ALSO SOLD SEPERATELY. ORDER 2 O-RINGS FOR EACH FILTER

  1. NOTE: Make sure all of the oil filter element components are removed from the oil filter housing and the oil filter adapter.
     1. Remove and discard the oil filter element.
  1. Remove and discard the O-ring seals.
  1.  
     1. Remove the drain plug and allow the engine oil to fully drain. Use the General Equipment: Oil Drain Equipment
  1. Install the drain plug. Torque: 19 lb.ft (26 Nm)
  1.  
     1. Wipe the threads and O-ring sealing surfaces with a clean lint-free cloth.
  1. Inspect the oil filter housing and stem for damage including cracks or separation of the stem from the housing. If damaged, a new oil filter housing assembly must be installed.

  Filling

  1.  
     1. NOTICE: Failure to install new oil filter housing O-ring seals may result in oil leakage.

  Install new oil filter housing O-ring seals and lubricate with clean engine oil.
  

  1. Install a new oil filter element
  1. Install the oil filter housing. Torque: 18 lb.ft (24 Nm)
